Will the transformation to sustainability succeed?

Social change and new thinking are indispensable for overcoming ecological, economic and social sustainability challenges - permanently, with international responsibility for the future, despite competing objectives. A pandemic like Corona, which leaves no area of life unaffected, takes beliefs like the liberalized market ad absurdum and makes alliances fragile, could be the key stimulus for a global, intergenerational social contract on minimum social standards, lifestyles, education, environment and economics. Without an ideological backpack in crisis management and without a distribution struggle, but with ecologically controlled growth and without ethically unacceptable doctrine. The window of opportunity for cultural transformations and upheaval dynamics in a "post-covid world" to be renegotiated is historically wide open due to technical innovations, new consciousness and formations such as young climate activism. The following personalities will discuss these questions:
Prof. Dr. Yuval Noah Harari

In one of his books, "The European Dream: How Europe's Vision of the Future is Quietly Eclipsing the American Dream" Rifkin deals with the future role of Europe in the world. He also rights a monthly column on global issues in many leading newspapers.
Dr. Bertrand Piccard
