Britta Steffen

Britta Steffen was the fastest swimmer in the world for many years. In her swimming career, she won two Olympic titles, two world championships and nine European titles. From 2009 to 2017, she held the world record in the 50-meter freestyle.

Britta Steffen discovered her passion for the element of water as a child. In 2000, she was one of the youngest participants in the Olympic Games in Sydney. Many spectacular highlights followed in her career, such as the double Olympic victory in 2008 over 50m and 100m freestyle in Olympic record times, one year later she became double world champion with five individual world records in the same year.

After her career ended, she studied industrial engineering for environmental protection and sustainability and completed another degree - Human Resources Management with a focus on controlling - and founded the health coaching agency "GOLT", a company specializing in reconciling health goals and performance interests.
In her lectures Britta Steffen describes her path in terms of health, punctual and permanent peak performance as well as self-management and leadership, and how she was able to fully exploit her athletic and mental potential through mental strategies and maintain it over a long period of time.
