Prof. Dr. Carl Christian von Weizsäcker is one of the most internationally respected experts on competition and energy policy issues. Since 2004 he is Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods, Bonn. He advises governments and institutions on international competition, globalization and energy related issues and his articles are published in prestigious scientific journals. Prof. Dr. von Weizsäcker is a highly respected expert on energy policy and economics.
Prof. Dr. von Weizsäcker was a founding member and Fellow of the European Economic Association, and prior to becoming Director of the Institute of Energy Economics he was a member and then Chairman of the German Monopolies Commission. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences of the Nordrhein-Westfälischen Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the American Econometric Society.
