Franca Lehfeldt

Franca Lehfeldt is a journalist, bestselling author, TV presenter and entrepreneur. She studied Business Administration and Hotel Management (BA) in Switzerland, and Strategic Marketing (MA) in Munich and Boston. In 2016, Lehfeldt was selected for the RTL School of Journalism, where she completed the one-and-a-half-year training programme to become a television journalist.

From 2018, Lehfeldt appeared regularly on camera as a reporter for the early morning news programme “Punkt 6” and the lunchtime magazine programme “Punkt 12”. She reported on national politics from RTL’s Berlin studio. In 2020, she became chief political correspondent.

During the 2021 federal election, Lehfeldt produced the podcast “Redezeit” alongside RTL’s iconic journalist Heiner Bremer. In this weekly RTL audio programme, the journalist spoke with Bremer about the election campaign and socio-political developments.

In 2022, Franca Lehfeldt moved to the television channel WELT, part of Axel Springer SE. There, she worked as chief political correspondent and as a presenter. From 2023, she was the anchor of the evening news from 6 pm to 8 pm. She presented the programme “Die WELT am Abend mit Franca Lehfeldt” weekly from Monday to Friday.

In March 2023, her book *Old Wise Men – A Tribute to an Endangered Species* was published by Gräfe und Unzer. The volume, co-authored with her colleague Nena Brockhaus, is a critique of the spirit of the times. It advocates the merit principle and opposes ‘woke-washing’. The book shot straight to number four on the SPIEGEL bestseller list and remained in the non-fiction charts for three months.
At the end of 2023, Lehfeldt decided to found her company, LEHFELDT&, in order to further develop her areas of expertise for a wider range of clients.

The agency division, LEHFELDT& Team, focuses on the strategic positioning and communication of personal brands, companies and products. In addition to comprehensive consultancy and creative work, the team specialises in the high-quality production of digital content (audio and video) and the development of bespoke visual languages.

In the second pillar of the company, LEHFELDT& Stage, Franca Lehfeldt continues to work as a presenter and incisive speaker. She regularly speaks to large audiences and is booked throughout the DACH region in both German and English.

Franca Lehfeldt is also co-owner of the WoMen On Top initiative. The aim of this initiative is to achieve equality between men and women. Under the slogan ‘The future is equal’, it seeks to drive structural change.
