Dr. Léa Steinacker
Scientist, journalist, entrepreneur
Dr. Léa Steinacker holds a PhD in social sciences, is a journalist and entrepreneur. In 2020, she co-founded "ada Learning GmbH", of which she is Managing Director and Chief Innovation Officer. "ada" is both a platform and a network, a learning and development community that brings together employees from more than 40 European companies ranging from DAX to medium-sized enterprises, governments and organizations and equips them for the future.
Dr. Steinacker teaches courses on technology topics, such as "Social and Economic Dimensions of Artificial Intelligence" at the University of St. Gallen. She has published the research results of her doctoral thesis in her book "Code Capital."
She was Chief Innovation Officer of Wirtschaftswoche, part of the Handelsblatt Media Group, since 2017, and Digital Scout of the Editor-in-Chief since 2015.

Dr. Steinacker has multinational professional experience in Egypt, Australia, Rwanda, Bosnia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where she was responsible for the evaluation of technological interventions in crisis areas and evaluated the social propaganda networks of extremists.
In Germany, she worked as a consultant for the Global Public Policy Institute, among others.
Dr. Steinacker studied International Politics, African Studies and Digital Media at Princeton University (New Jersey, USA), at the American University in Cairo and at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA).
Subsequently, she received her doctorate from the University of St. Gallen.
Dr. Steinacker focuses on the intersection of technology, work and society, she is highly sought-after expert when it comes to new technologies and their impact on diverse industries as well as diversity and sustainability.
